Instructions for creating an AvantGo channel
You can create a custom channel in AvantGo so you'll always have the latest
news, features, and commentary while you're on the go. To create the channel,
follow these steps:
- Download the AvantGo software and get it working with standard channels.
You can get the software at
https://ami.avantgo.com/support/mobile_support/downloads.html.
- If you need help getting AvantGo running on your handheld, visit AvantGo support at
https://ami.avantgo.com/support/mobile_support/.
- Once you have your account set up and running, visit your personal channel page at
https://ami.avantgo.com/channels/index.html. You
will need to have your AvantGo username and password to log in.
- You will see a list of your channels. At the bottom of that list is a "Create Channel" button. Click that
button.
- Enter the following values in the form that will appear in your browser:
Title: Supercomputing Online
URL: http://www.supercomputingonline.com/mobile.php
Maximum Channel Size: 150K
Link Depth: 2
Include Images: Yes
Follow Off-site Links: No
Refresh: On Every Sync
- Click "Save Channel"
- The channel will appear on your handheld at your next sync.
