COSMOS/M Adopted by UCLA Biomedical Engineering Department

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Structural Research & Analysis Corp. (SRAC), developer of the COSMOS/ suite of design analysis products, today announced that the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) will incorporate 10 seats of COSMOS/M into its Interdepartmental Program of Biomedical Engineering. As part of a new biomechanics laboratory that he is setting up at UCLA, Dr. Michael Kabo plans to utilize the software by having students take the geometrical properties of a chicken bone and use the model they create to parametrically exercise the variables in their experiment. The goal is to determine the effects on the cross sectional stress distribution. According to Dr. Kabo, "COSMOS/M will serve as the analytical companion to their experiments."
