SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- nCode International, the leading global provider of durability software, services and systems, is now helping the number one manufacturer of agricultural tractors and harvesting equipment make more durable implements for the world's farmers. Durability management software tools from nCode provide a common, integrated durability solution for the third largest maker of construction equipment in the world, a renowned manufacturer of crop harvesting, crop production, hay and forage products. The software will be used at all of the company's ten product development sites throughout North America. "Advance durability testing helps development engineers assure the long life of these products, which helps to maintain high customer satisfaction levels and reduces warranty claims and costs," says Martin Cregg, nCode's vice president, products. The package includes three core software systems including nSoft(TM) and FATIMAS(TM), and many advanced fatigue options. Also part of the total durability system is InField(TM), software from SoMat that provides enhanced field test collection and data visualization. nSoft transforms measured or predicted time series data into validated engineering information and enables engineers to quickly and accurately set loading targets. FATIMAS extends nSoft utilities for the estimation of fatigue life from measured strain histories or individual tensors calculated by various techniques. Stress life, strain life and crack growth methods are included, along with an extensive database of material properties required for durability calculations. InField field validation software, which is optimized in the field with the 2100, 2500 and eDAQ(TM) field data acquisition systems, contains a rich set of data validation tools ranging from statistics to frequency.
