The AMD Opteron processor is designed to deliver high performance for demanding server applications. The AMD64 environment is built on x86 industry standard architecture, allowing customers to transition to 64-bit technology and still preserve their 32-bit software investment. This new processor is scalable and backward compatible with 32-bit applications, allowing for efficient integration into both enterprise and research environments. Depending on the number of processors, the systems/cluster nodes are available in 1U or 4U chassis, with up to 32 GB of memory and multiple PCI-X slots. Microway systems include NodeWatch/MCMS proprietary remote cluster monitoring and management tools. Every Microway Linux system is shipped fully configured and completely tested. Microway integrates Myrinet, InfiniBand or GigaBit Ethernet connectivity and provides shared and direct attached storage with the ability to deliver global file systems for clusters.
