Microsoft Announces Summa Technologies Membership
PITTSBURGH -- Summa Technologies today announced it is a new member in the Microsoft Certified Partner Program. Summa Technologies, a global IT service provider, joins the list of elite Microsoft Certified Partners who earn the highest customer endorsement and have demonstrated the most robust, efficient and scalable implementations of Microsoft technologies. "We are extremely pleased to align our business focus with Microsoft and to be recognized as a Microsoft Certified Partner," said Ed Engler, CEO of Summa Technologies. "Being a member of the program gives us early access to .NET product information, and as a result, we are now prepared to deliver .NET solutions to our customers. "We see a lot of momentum building for .NET in the Pittsburgh marketplace," said Engler. "Relationships such as the one we're developing with Microsoft are critical to successfully providing customers with a means to quickly harness the power of .NET and XML Web services, and integrate these new technologies with customers' existing IT investments." The Microsoft Certified Partner Program allows Summa Technologies to leverage the additional credibility of the certified brand, as well as receive prioritized access to training opportunities, increased product licenses and MSDN access, priority referrals, technical support, Microsoft products and peer-networking opportunities that allow a variety of partners to come together and provide end-to-end customer solutions. "Microsoft is very excited about our growing relationship with Summa Technologies," said Mike Ferreri, General Manager of Microsoft's Greater Pennsylvania District. "The initiatives we're focused on together -- particularly around .NET / J2EE interoperability and application development -- are critical to delivering a new level of agility and value to customers across the Pittsburgh marketplace. The combined expertise and experience of Microsoft and Summa Technologies in enterprise computing will help customers reap the benefits of a new generation of computing while protecting investments in their existing technologies."
