BlueArc Joins StorageTek TekAlliance Partner Program
BlueArc Corp, a provider of high-performance enterprise-class network storage solutions, and StorageTek, a provider of enterprise information lifecycle management, have announced certification of BlueArc's Titan SiliconServer for use with StorageTek FlexLine online storage systems. This qualification between the two companies' products delivers unique benefits to customers seeking rapid and secure access to data. With this tested interoperability, BlueArc is now a StorageTek TekAlliance partner. Following StorageTek requirements, BlueArc has tested and cross-certified StorageTek's full range of FlexLine disk subsystems to allow interoperability for its joint customers. Additionally, BlueArc's Titan has been tested and certified as a gateway for existing customers utilizing StorageTek FLX200 and FLX300 access-centric and capacity-centric disk subsystems. Customers can now leverage BlueArc's high performing and scalable storage solutions in their existing system environments, without requiring them to replace their current infrastructure or perform costly, time-consuming data migration. "BlueArc is excited to further develop our partner relationship with StorageTek as we deliver high-performance network storage to the enterprise," said Kevin Eggleston, vice president of BlueArc. "Following our recent announcements with Brocade and Engenio, this agreement extends our network of gateway partners, further increasing our ability to sell into a larger install base of customers." "Managing information with high-performance, scalable network attached storage is increasingly important to our customers," said Cameron van Orman, StorageTek director, strategic alliances. "We are pleased to have BlueArc's Titan NAS product tested and certified as interoperable with our FlexLine products."
