BlueArc Expands Reseller Program with M4 Technologies
SAN JOSE, CA -- BlueArc Corporation, provider of the world's highest performance enterprise-class network storage systems, and M4 Technologies, a leader in the sales and support of mission-critical computing, announced today that M4 is now a Canadian reseller of the Si7500 Storage System. Together, BlueArc and M4 are able to provide all of North America with the BlueArc Si7500 Storage System, which provides maximum data availability, throughput speed and system scalability for optimum network performance at the lowest total cost of ownership. "Our deal with BlueArc is a great victory for M4 and the companies we serve," said Mac Brown, co-founder of M4 Technologies. "This kind of premium storage solution has never before been available to the market, and the fact that we're the ones offering it to Canadian companies strengthens our own position and increases the business value we can deliver to our clients." "We already trust BlueArc with a majority of the backup storage for our corporate headquarters, and the Si7500 Storage System has replaced the work previously done by three servers, due to its increased performance capabilities." said Frank Hannig, chief information officer at Altera Corporation. "The partnership with M4 Technologies will allow us to deploy BlueArc's storage systems at our Ottawa facility and provide our engineering teams at that site the same incredible performance and service we realize with BlueArc today." "M4 is a proven reseller, and we're confident in M4's ability to increase the adoption rate of our technology in Canada," said Chuck Joseph, senior vice president of worldwide field operations at BlueArc. "As M4 increases its own presence throughout Canada, we look forward to expanding the relationship and growing our joint client base."
