Rackable Systems powers life sciences software
Ingenuity Systems Selects Rackable Systems for its Expert Data Center Infrastructure -- Rackable Systems today announced its continued commitment to Ingenuity Systems, a company that specializes in the development of semantic search, ontology and software solutions that enable life science researchers to generate maximum value from all types of biological and chemical knowledge. Due to the variety of solutions Ingenuity Systems provides, they depend on Rackable Systems for its extensive server support and unique problem solving skills.
Pharmaceutical, biotechnology and academic research institutions have complex software needs that require sophisticated solution providers like Ingenuity Systems. The constantly evolving and variable nature of Ingenuity’s projects necessitate the use of Oracle’s Real Application Clusters (RAC) to support its data warehouse applications. Richard Farley, the director of IT operations and security at Ingenuity, faced a difficult transition to a RAC cluster hardware platform and needed a customizable server provider to meet its unique challenge. Farley turned to Rackable Systems for its build-to-order products and willingness to provide expert support for a complicated integration process.
“We evaluated all the major server vendors for this latest project and we chose Rackable Systems because of its build-to-order model and level of attention to our individual problems,” commented Farley. “The Rackable Systems team not only built a solution to fit our specific needs, they were also instrumental in seeing the installation through to the end.”
