ClearSpeed Technology, the world leader in acceleration technology for high performance computing (HPC), today announced that it is expanding its international operations and has added two new significant positions to its management team. Based in ClearSpeed’s corporate headquarters in Bristol, UK and responsible for Engineering, Operations and Product Marketing, Ben Bennett has joined the company as general manager responsible for the timely, cost effective creation and delivery of industry-leading accelerator products. Based in San Jose, CA, Robert Nikora has joined the company as vice president of world wide sales responsible for developing ClearSpeed’s channel business, driving revenue and expanding ClearSpeed’s global sales team. A 15-year Intel veteran, Bennett was most recently Intel’s director of HPC marketing programs functioning in a global role and managing revenue streams of over $100 million. His expertise ranges from market and technology analysis, commodity processor evangelization and future product definition to organizational and business development and supply chain operations. A long time HPC veteran, Bennett is also an Advisory Board member for the International Supercomputing Organization. With over 25 years experience in the computer industry, Nikora is responsible for leading the continuation of the build out and leadership of the worldwide sales organization. Nikora brings to ClearSpeed diverse experience in both large public companies and early stage start-up organizations and has served in senior and executive management roles in HPC companies including Cray Research, Stellar Computer and Alliant Computer Systems. “Both Robert and Ben have exceptional backgrounds in ClearSpeed’s core markets and add highly relevant experience to the executive team as we scale up our worldwide operations,” said Tom Beese, ClearSpeed CEO. “We are very pleased to have recruited such talented executives during this time of significant growth for the company.” As the world leader in acceleration technology for HPC, ClearSpeed acceleration is ideal for the most demanding applications for the financial services industry, government laboratories, and university research institutions where the constraints of energy and facilities space are significant barriers to delivering maximum performance.
